Boshuisje Schaijk
Maashorst · The Netherlands

A stylish
forest cabin.

A wooden cabin at the edge of the woods. No buzz, just the rustle of leaves. Room for one to four guests, plus a baby.

The cabin

Where calm, nature
and comfort meet.

Tucked between the oaks at the edge of the Maashorst stands our forest cabin. A design of wood and glass, built with care for the rhythm of the seasons — low winter sun through the branches, the green density of a July afternoon.

Inside you'll find an open living space with a wood stove, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and oven, and bedrooms with beds made up on arrival. Outside, the hot tub waits under the trees — soaking while the forest turns dark is part of the experience.

No television. A small bookshelf, a record player, and towels already laid out for you.

The area

Schaijk, on the edge of the Maashorst.

The cabin is a ten-minute walk from the Maashorst nature reserve — 3,500 hectares of forest, heath and European bison. From here you walk straight into the silence.

A twenty-minute cycle brings you to the culture of Oss and Ravenstein; the village café serves a proper Dutch uitsmijter on its terrace. In the morning, walk to the bakery in Schaijk for fresh sausage rolls.

The silence here is so thick you can almost hold it.— from the guest book
